APEC can bring its portable Plasma Processing Test System (PPTS) on site to test clients’ gas streams. The value of our plasma solutions can be assessed prior to a client committing to a large capital investment. The PPTS is currently located at APEC’s Campbell’s Bay Facility where it is undergoing an upgrade to allow for further capabilities such as operating as a completely independent test system.

The PPTS is equipped to accommodate up to 5% of a facility’s gas flow at the exit of the primary gasifier. The system keeps the gas at a constant temperature until it reaches the NEP torch for processing. It is also equipped to optionally remove particulate matter and provide additive gases to help align the plasma catalysis towards the desired outcome. It can return the treated gas to the process or can exhaust through a dedicated external flaring system.
